Xenical is worth considering for helping to achieve desired weight loss if you are thirty or more pounds overweight. Xenical (the brand name for Orlistat) is intended to be used alongside a reduced calorie diet to help you lose weight while also helping you to maintain weight loss.

Xenical works by inhibiting the enzyme lipase that is used in the absorption of dietary fats in the stomach and in the small intestine. This medication effectively deactivates the digestion of fats contained in the food you eat. As the undigested fats are not absorbed by the body, this has a positive effect on your weight control efforts.

While Xenical can effectively help you to lose weight, you should also follow a low-calorie diet and exercise regularly. Xenical, like any other prescription diet pill, is a short term solution and needs to be treated as so. If you don’t exercise and eat properly after you stop taking Xenical you will quickly gain back the weight that you have worked so hard to lose.

Should you take Xenical?

Xenical is a good choice if you are considered obese (thirty pounds over weight) or have a BMI of 27 or higher. If you hope to lose just a few pounds to fit into the brides maid dress for your best friends wedding, this is not the solution for you.

If have pre-existing medical conditions Xenical may not be safe. People that suffer from health conditions such as gall bladder problems, heart disease, anorexia and bulimia or diabetes should not take Xenical.

Will you be able to stick to a low calorie diet and exclude fats from your diet? This is an important factor to consider, you have to be real with your weight loss goals. Xenical works by absorbing fat but that doesn’t mean that you should eat unhealthy meals and depend on the diet pill to rid your body of fats. What would happen then when you stop taking Xenical as after six months of use it becomes ineffective?

Xenical (the brand name for Orlistat) diet pills are in a class of drugs that work by preventing fat absorption in some of the food you eat which in turn blocks calories. While Xenical can give you a boost you should also eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly.  Xenical comes in capsule form and the typical dosage amount is 120 milligrams.

Orlistat is mostly commonly used for the management of obesity including weight loss and weight maintenance along with a reduced-calorie diet. Exercise is essential to any diet program along with taking any diet pills for maximum weight loss and health.

Prior to taking Xenical you should visit your doctor and go over the pros and cons of taking a diet pill to help achieve your weight loss goals.

How does Xenical work?

Xenical works by inhibiting the enzyme lipase that is used in the absorption of dietary fats in the stomach and small intestine. This medication effectively deactivates the digestion of fats in the food you eat. As the undigested fats are not absorbed, this has a positive effect on your weight control efforts.

Xenical inhibits the enzyme lipase that helps in the absorption of dietary fats in the stomach and the small intestine. The Xenical diet pills effectively inactivate the enzyme involved in the digestion of fats. As undigested fats are not absorbed, the resulting caloric deficit has a positive effect on weight control. Absorption of the drug is therefore not needed for activity. Therefore, systemic exposure to Xenical is minimal.

When taking Xenical it may decrease your body’s absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. To be sure you are receiving proper nutrition your doctor might also suggest taking a multivitamin supplement daily that contains vitamins D, E, K and beta- carotene while taking this medication.
